Maintaining a blog is very difficult. You have to balance your time between making good posts and promoting them. There are also a lot of obstacles that will get into your way such as having low traffic in spite of your hard work, low income from advertisers and problems about your personal life. Now, you are thinking of giving up your blog.
Although you really love blogging, nothing seems to motivate you to continue from doing so. But before you quit, the following tips may help you.

While we think that only good things can inspire us, the bad things around us can also serve as our inspiration. We can do that by posting realistic suggestions on how to convert these bad things into good ones. Money can also be a good source of inspiration, as long as you do not abuse it.

This is so true! I haven't been in a "blogging" mood lately and it shows on my ratings. Sometimes blogging takes alot of time and with 3 kids and remodeling going on in my house, I have only a limited time.
Have a great weekend!

Yep, the obstacles you're talking about always get on my nerves most of the time. Excellent tip you have in motivating one's self to blog.
I just want to add one more thing if you don't mind.
Take a break
Sometimes you're so burned out of all the problems you're getting both offline and online that you can no longer feel your brain working. Take a break and rejuvinate your blogging creativity by doing other things you'd love to do beside blogging like playing outside, watching TV, meditation, playing with your pets, and other stress relieving activites including solving your offline problems. :)

That is a nice suggestion, Netspeed82. Just like in the office, bloggers need to take a break to charge their exhausted mind.
Thanks for the sharing your ideas here.

As for me, I look at blogging from a different point of view. It serves as my relaxer. I always look to coming home from work, as I know I could "blog" to my heart's content. I find blogging as an outlet, like an interesting hobby, which gives me the calmness and relaxation I need after a hard day's work.
But your tips are very helpful. Thanks for sharing them.

This is a great post, well done!
As I am a freelance writer, I often have to motivate myself to actually get the work done.
All I have to do to motivate myself to do the work for my clients, is to look at my baby daughter! She reminds me of why I work so hard in the first place!

Hi Borneo,
That's right. Passion is what bloggers need to survive.
Thanks for dropping by.
Hi Sarah,
It's nice to know that your daughter inspires you, just like my family which is my main source of inspiration and really motivate me.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
